One of my favorite authors of all time is Gabrielle Zevin. I have read two of her teen novels, Elsewhere and Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac, multiple times. If there is such a thing as a perfect book, it would be one of hers. Zevin's novels have all the right elements to them-romance, action, excitement, sadness, and humor. They are deep, and beautifully written, and have helped me through some hard times. Elsewhere is about a 15-year-old girl, Liz, who died in a car accident, and goes to heaven, which is called "Elsewhere". Liz has to deal with her death, and can't give up. It is my all-time favorite book. Next, Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac is a thrilling story about a girl named Naomi, who loses her memory after a mysterious accident. She doesn't remember anything about her best friend, her boyfriend, or her parent's divorce. Will Naomi ever recall her life again?
Recently, I interviewed Ms. Gabrielle Zevin. Here it is:
