The Treat of the Season: Lanvin

May 26, 2010

Lanvin's Fall 2010 was, as the title suggests, a treat. I loved the entire collection. The dresses were full of gothic-magic, but also with a feminine charm. Designer Alber Elbaz said, "It was all about molding the fabrics." In an interview with style.com, he said that one of the inspirations was Africa and tribal wear-muses that were hidden in some of the collections's accessories and dresses. The use of fur and neutral colors had a gorgeous effect on the runway, along with other features I absolutely adored, such as the stretch fabric material and "killer-heels". Lanvin Fall 2010 was full of short, cute dresses, but also long, and flowing ones which I loved. The collection was edgy and graceful at the same time. Lanvin's Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear was truly beautiful!
