Spring/Summer 2010: White-Out

Sep 16, 2010

Spring/Summer 2010 collections have hit both runways and style.com. And, upon viewing the collections in excitement, (much to the astonishment of my sister, who eyed me incredulously as I jumped up and down, screaming), I spotted one trend immediately- all white outfits have flooded every runway from DKNY to Marc by Marc Jacobs. BCBG Max Azria created a gorgeous almost entirely made of the clean, fresh hue, a color that is actually perfect for spring and summer. Here is a compilation of these white-washed runway looks:

Marc by Marc Jacobs

Michael Kors
Carolina Herrera
Derek Lam
Jason Wu
BCBG Max Azria

  1. Hi Meera.
I can't believe that's Sue Sylvester and she does look stunning! The dress and the color is fab on her.
I agree about Toni Colette's dress being not quite the thing for the Emmy awards even though it is pretty. It seems to be something that Melinda would wear on Ghost Whisperer. She manages to bring glamour to the world of the dead or in this case the undead!
The lilac grecian style dress is soft and feminine but not glamorous enough for the Emmy's. The same style in a bold color would have worked better. She looks as though she is ready to be at Ascot in the early 20th century rather than here and now.

  2. White is such a classic color. It's really impossible to go wrong when there's white in the picture. I'll have to check out some of the other collections!

  3. I totally love MJ..Ive never seen a piece that I didnt want!!

    Have a Fashionable Day:)
