13

Oct 6, 2010

I am officially 13 years old.
And, for once, it actually feels a little different. Not like when I turned ten or eleven. It actually feels different now. I don't know why-is it because I am a teenager? Or because I am going to be three years older than my little sister for a while? Whatever it is, it feels amazing.

Because of my thirteenth birthday, I have chosen 13 look from 13 of my favorite Spring 2011 collections. These looks had me wishing and hoping and dreaming for them to appear my closet. Sigh. But, besides that selfish part, these looks to me were just breathtaking. They were true art, true beauty.
Vogue Gallery
Giorgio Armani: The sheer fabric, the architectural necklace, slick clutch, and chic turban-it was a gorgeous look from the master label.
Lanvin: Alber Elbaz's gorgeous, bright drapes are my dreams in the form of clothes.
Marchesa: All I can say is that this dress is enchanting. Really, it transports me to lands of fantasy by just looking at it.
Erdem: This bold collection was softened by it's delicate lace, and detailed accessories. This dress is one of my (many) dream buys.
Marc Jacobs: Colors fill the air this summer, with Marc Jacobs' bold summer collections. I especially love the hat and the detail on the neck of the dress.
Bottega Veneta: Leather, ruffles, sheer fabric, and that satchel create a perfect evening look for the perfect Spring/Summer night.
Zac Posen: A perfect evening gown. I love how it is sculpted to its shape and the subtle tie-dye effect in the middle.
Vena Cava: The accessories accentuate the bright dress into a beautiful summer day look.
Celine Spring 2011 Ready-to-Wear
Celine: Celine's minimal chic was at it's best with this collection, and this gorgeous navy-blue jumpsuit was one of my favorite looks.
Alexis Mabille Spring 2011 Ready-to-Wear
Alexis Mabille: Seaside chic shine through this subtle, utterly desirable dress.
3.1 Phillip Lim Spring 2011 Ready-to-Wear
3.1 Phillip Lim: This collection literally shocked me. I have no words to describe how beautiful this outfit is to me.
Chloe: Ballet in fashion appeared in this breathtaking jumpsuit by the Chloe. I love the old-rose color.
Alexander McQueen: This was my absolute favorite look/collection from all the Spring/Summer 2011 collections. It was hard to choose just one look from Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2011. The regal white and gold combination was a gorgeous, classic dress from the master label. I fail to describe the beauty of this ever-lasting dress. Long Live McQueen.
