Pink, Pink, Pink!

Apr 16, 2011

Top: Marks and Spencers, Skirt: ZARA, Clutch: Louis Vuitton
Lately, shopping mood has been floating towards bright, warm colors, and naturally, pink is now a favorite. Wearing the color from top-to-bottom just didn't suit me, so I opted for the trend of color-blocking my magenta skirt with a simple white tank top. Thoughts? My ZARA skirt, (above), is my greatest love, and my new Louis Vuitton wallet is a close second. But I didn't stop shopping at those items. There is a much more pink coming your way:

Pink has been covering all aspects of my life-clothes, magazines, and technology. It is surprising to me that I can take so much of pink, but it seems like the perfect choice for Summer. Although I am used to a more somber, simple color palette, I have embraced color into my life, just as the fashion world has done so. The inspiration concerning my brand new love may come from the brands I love:
From left to right: Lanvin S/S '11, Christian Dior Haute Couture S/S '11, and Donna Karen S/S '11

Dozens from Spring/Summer 2011 collections have been injected with flowing, hot shades of pink, inspiring me to adapt to colors in my life. What do you think of pink? Is color-blocking the way to go, as with Dior and Donna Karen? Or can pink be a cover from head-to-toe?

  1. Excellent eye; picking out this commonality amongst these designers is smart, many people fail to make these connections.

Um, LV, and DVF already? Wow, I'm still on TNA! I'm jealous of your serious upgrade!

  2. I used to shy away from pink but now I really like it, and I think it looks great with colour blocking or all on its own. But I prefer darker pinks to barbie type pinks. Great post!

  8. deep jewel toned pinks like this look so so much better than plain old baby pink, which is just far too girly for my liking xx
