Vogue UK's Perfect Present

Nov 4, 2011

Happy November! Thank you all for the tremendous response to my Vogue India interview! Every encouraging comment meant so much to me. I am so glad my readers enjoyed the feature.
Fashion, as I have continuously noted, is always one step ahead. We are still in the midst of the frenzy S/S 2012 collections created, a year ahead the season itself. I am jumping ahead to one of the most festive, favored months of the year: December. Vogue UK has gifted its readers the perfect Christmas gift-a beautiful December cover, complete with one of the most ravishing models in the world, Gisele Bundchen. I absolutely loved the cover, with its classic yet seasonally appropriate ensemble. The balloons were an adorable touch, managing to look glamourous against the backdrop of supermodels and Vogue. As perfect as the cover was, Gisele's editorial for the magazine was just as appealing. Style wise, the issue stuck to the season's trend of color blocking. The combinations varied from neutral tones with eye-popping accents to putting together a rainbow of hues. Either way, color-blocking is obviously one of the boldest trends of the season.

What did you think of this December cover?

  1. Fantastic!!!, I love Gisele!
    Have a nice weekend!

  2. She looks Stunning as usual!!

  3. I'm so glad that the color-blocking trend has not died out! I love it! You are a superb writer and this cover is delightful! I agree that it is appropriate for the season. Thank you for commenting on my blog! I greatly appreciate it! I'm now following you :]

  4. I love the cover picture, but I'm not sure I could pull off that look myself. The other shots are more my style.

  5. Gisele stands for what every girl or woman should aspire to be-- confident and headstrong! She had humble beginnings and now she's a supermodel. I bought the December issue of Vogue today (after seeing this post) and I read through this article.
Gisele's quite inspiring, to be honest. (:
