I seem to have taken yet another week off blogging, and I am sorry for my absence. Moments with Meera is almost to 350 followers, and I would love to meet this goal! Thank you so much to my new readers and followers!
The much awaited release of The Great Gatsby has been a large influence on glossy runways all across fashion capitals. From layers and layers of carefully placed feathers to strands of sparkling fringe, 1920's style has captured the hearts of multiple designers.
Designers have taken this inspiration and applied a modern twist to looks which dominated every women's wardrobe decades ago. Marchesa's Spring 2012 show was made up of a long string of dreamy, darling gowns, impeccably created. Every creation seems tailor-made for the upcoming award season. Oscar de la Renta's bold collection, with a large assortment of themes, colors, and eye-popping accessories, incorporated the trends of the 1920's along with immaculate details of the twenty-first century. Gucci's smoky-eyed, electrifying flapper dresses and Giambattista Valli Spring 2012 Haute Couture sheer lace creation added to the medley of alluring runway looks.
