There are hundreds of ways you can style a simple white babydoll top. With delicate cream buttons running down to the middle, and white lace trip on the edges, the shirt is elegant and versatile at the same time. For this impromptu photo shoot at Singapore's Botanic Gardens, I chose to display the look in two ways – paired with a hot pink miniskirt for one look, and combined with a lovely cotton midi skirt for the next. The words "pink skirt" can be interpreted in a whole variety of ways, and this was the concept I was playing with for this outfit post. When said in a vague manner, a pink skirt can mean literally anything; when investigated, there are specific meanings to each article of clothing. Though both outfits I wore included a 'pink skirt', the two could not be more different from one another.
The midi skirt – which, according to its definition, its long from the back and slightly arched at the front, was a perfect option for a scorching hot day in Singapore. Its long length and stunning, soft shade of pink was in perfect contrast with the lush greenery of the gardens behind me.
This Zara skirt is one of my favorites, with its shocking pink hue and smooth cut. The difference between the midi skirt and the mini skirt is how suitable it is for certain occasions. While the Zara skirt is more applicable for a party or night out, the Forever 21 option is much more casual, though it has a certain graceful air to it. What do you think of the two skirts? Is there one skirt is particular which you prefer?
