Oscar de la Renta Spring 2013
For those of you who follow me on Twitter or read Moments with Meera regularly, it is no surprise that I love lace. A fabric that has an astonishing amount of versatility, lace has made its way into my closet in the form of shirts, bags, and shoes. Though the item invokes an air of sophistication and elegance, it can be molded into holding dozens of other characteristics. For Spring, however, this vibe is ideal, as dreary winter days suddenly blend into lovely Spring moments, with gardens and parks slowly blooming with ravishing nature. Such a description is as flowery as the season itself, and it calls for a fabric like lace to reflect the mood. For this trend, subtlety and opulence can both be achieved with an equal amount of ease. A simple white top with a lace fringe, a clutch embroidered with delicate white lace, or a full-on lace body-con dress are all options in which the trend can be worn. The items below, from the iconic Jeffrey Campbell boots (which I am dying to own one day) to a Valentino cross-body bag, incorporate the sweet essence of lace, which should make its way into every girl's closet this Spring.
