As designer Eve Tan described in an exclusive interview on my blog last month, her clothes are the "perfect balance between style and comfort". Getting the opportunity to wear one of the designer's beautiful, simplistic designs was perfect for a smoldering day on Orchard Road, around the Ion Orchard area. Although it was a typical rainy afternoon, which covered the ground in threateningly slippery raindrops, heat was inescapable (as it usually is in Singapore). With weather standing as an obstacle, I opted for an outfit which included Eve Tan's delicate and utterly soft top in a eye-catching shade of bubblegum pink. It was an ideal match with my pair of True Religion shorts which I purchased over the summer. The shorts, done in white-washed denim, are adorned with bronze buttons and frayed edges. My Dorothy Perkins clutch – gifted to me by the brand and incorporated in many outfits in the past – was almost identical to my shirt, and pink seemed to be the underlying touch for the entire outfit, including my nails. Accessories included a beautiful new cuff courtesy of Zalora Singapore and grey, well-worn wedges from H&M. The outfit was not one that you would see on a high-fashion runway, but I achieved a level of comfort intertwined with a touch of elegance at the hands of all the lovely designers whose clothes I wore. What do you think of this look?
