Pastel Edition – see products here

With Christmas around the corner, we are all scrambling to finish last-minute shopping and pick the ideal presents for all the loved ones in our life. This gift guide is for all the fashion-forward girls; those who opt for light and airy knits, lace crop-tops, wonderfully-scented candles, and silver accessories. This post aims to give options for all of them, as you will see through my Polyvore guides. For the friend who is partial towards soft pink tones in her wardrobe and precious jewels for brunch – the pastel gift guide, above, is perfect for her. Whether you gift her with Dior's subtle pink and rose nail lacquers, or Barney's ultra-chic bucket bag (on the top of my wish-list!) any of these items would appeal to that girl in your life. American Eagle's soft watermelon sweater is another good choice, especially for those in colder climates. These gifts are pretty much reflective of something I'd love for Christmas, as would so many others who scour Vogue or Who What Wear on a daily basis.

For those who would rather shop for stationery and additions to their immaculately-designed bedrooms, any of these items are more appealing than the latest handbag. Kate Spade's range of note cards, diaries, and kitchen essentials (the 'Hello Sunshine' mug is too cute) are slightly higher-priced but make for a special gift. Soft-scented candles and Pier 1's gorgeous, textured pillows are other options. I am a huge fan of candles lately, lighting my favorite Yankee Candles while studying or catching up on TV-shows. The candles above are really ideal for a 'homebody' type of person – they can use it whenever they're relaxing or staying in. Each of these gift guides features a different set of candles, tailored for the theme. The white and gold themed items above are suitable for this season, and each gift can be perceived as both useful and fashion-conscious.

Night-out Edition – see items here

December can be synonymous with party season, with a plethora of Christmas and New Year's Eve parties. Especially after exams are over, it is time to enjoy this month before school starts again. Which is why clothing and accessories made for a night-out are ideal as presents. A black and red combination is bold and in keeping with holiday tones. Check out Mango's beautiful lace bralettes and crop-tops which would be a perfect match for a bodycon skirt. Marc Jacobs's new beauty line offers gorgeous red lip glosses that promise to last you through the night. Add in some powerful perfume and lotions (Philosophy has got this covered) and you've got a captivating gift set for anyone who is ready to go out this Christmas.

Minimal Edition – see items here

This is the kind of gift guide I would want presents from – ones that are versatile and minimal, and can be used for the rest of the year. A girl who prefers monochrome pieces over patterns and prints, who prefers a few silver rings above flamboyant neckpieces; this kind of girl would love the items above. Try putting together an outfit set – Helmut Lang's beautifully-constructed jersey tank top, a triangle-shaped clutch in another neutral tone, and a rose-gold watch is more than enough to make for impeccable range of presents. New Look has a gorgeous bralette which works as a more risqué alternative, in pure white. All the gifts can be associated with Christmas or even summer-wear, perfect for long-lasting options.
