Welcome to the all new Moments with Meera! A new theme, a new design, a new outlook towards fashion for the new year. For those loyal readers who continued to support us through 2014 – a year during which this blog honestly took a backseat in terms of the greater scheme of things – thank you for sticking with us. I promise that 2015 holds greater and better things for Moments with Meera, and I am so glad to have all of you on the journey. Now, this blog will focus on fashion in a different way. As I've grown and changed, my perspective on fashion has simultaneously evolved. This blog started when I was just 12 years old – and at 17, it's bound to change with me. And while fashion is always an interest, even a passion of mine and it is now combined with other interests – people, places, art. As I explore fashion in Singapore, I'll be looking at it in context to these things. Fashion is more relevant than the clothes we wear and it has meaning beyond the runway. Moments with Meera will delve into that concept this year, with exclusive interviews, extensive reports, styled editorials, and more. Stay tuned!

As for this outfit, I collaborated with Singapore-based photographer and model, Irina Bondar, to produce a series of outfit posts. We shot around the financial district of the island – which has to be one of the most aesthetically-pleasing areas in this city. With the Singapore river flowing through, and a flurry of glistening buildings, it was the perfect place to shoot this look. I was delighted to work with Zalora SG again, recently, and to feature their lovely clothes. The retailer's own label, Zalora the Label, has a gorgeous range of affordable, good-quality basics and essentials. One of which is the ruffled skirt I am wearing in this look. The figure-hugging pencil skirt is ideal for any girl looking for some versatility. I paired with a white cotton Topshop shirt for a more casual, breezy daytime look, but it could just easily work for a night-out. For a touch of color in this navy-scheme ensemble, Michael Kors' lilac tote (my all-time favorite bag / one of the best birthday presents I received) was of course, the item I turned to. A few more outfit posts are in store for you, so look out for those! In the meantime, let me know what you think of the all-new Moments with Meera through Twitter or Instagram.
